Steps to Install Seicane Android Radio for BMW F48 2016-2017 NBT System

To help BMW X1 F48 (2016 2017 ) owners install the Seicane Android radio system to their cars, we provide this removal and installation guide, may it be useful to you.

Tools: Plastic pry tools, screwdrivers.Caution: Cut off the car power before doing anything.

Here is the original radio system.

Section 1, To remove the factory radio

Step 1, Use the plastic pry tool to remove the button panel.

Step 2, Take down the button panel, disconnect the plugs.

Step 3, Remove screws that fixed the CD unit, take down the unit, and unplug the connectors.

Step 4, Pry the A/C vent panel, take it down and unplug the connectors.

Step 5, Remove screws that fixed the car radio screen, take down the screen and disconnect the plugs. The removal of original radio is done.

Part 2, To install Seicane car radio system

Step 6, Before installing, check the wiring harness of the Seicane touchscreen radio system to make sure everything is in good condition. Also have the radio user manual in your hand for assistance.

Step 7, Use the new wiring harness to connect the car plugs and the original CD unit.

Step 8, Install the CD unit back.

Step 9, Connect the new radio screen and install it back. Then power on the car to test the new radio system. If it works well, you can move to Step 10; If there is problem, please check whether the cables are connected correctly.

Step 10, Install the A/C vent panel back.

Step 11, Install the button panel back. The whole installation done.

An Easy-to-do Guide to Help You Install Android Touchscreen Car Stereo System in Subaru WRX

It’s true that having a touchscreen and multifunctional car stereo system makes our drives more fun and comfortable. That’s why lots of car owners decide to upgrade their simple factory radios nowadays.

As a Subaru WRX owner, I just upgraded my old radio with a Seicane Android car stereo navigation system recently. I would be happy to share the removal and installation guide here. May it be useful for you. By the way, it would be better to have someone help to work together.

Section 1, Preparations

New car radio and radio user manual are required. The basic tools will include plastic pry tools, screwdrivers. As we will work on power plugs, powering off the car before doing anything.

Section 2, How to remove the factory radio?

To remove the factory radio, you can follow 5 steps to do.

Step 1, Removing the panel device: Use the pry tool to feed it down the side until the panel device pried up, then you can take it down.

s1Step 2, Unplug connectors of the vent and the AC controllers on the panel device.

Step 3, Remove these tabs, vents, AC controls of the panel because we still need to use them on the new aftermarket car stereo from Seicane.

Step 4, Get to remove these six screws that fixed the original radio unit.

Step 5, Take down this small metal sheet, then pull out the radio unit and unplug its connectors. The removal job done.

Section 3, How to Install Seicane car stereo?

Step 6, Have the Seicane car stereo system with Carplay GPS in hand. For smooth work, take a check for the wiring harness and other accessories of the product.

Step 7, Install the tabs, vents, AC controls in the new stereo system.

Step 8, Correspondingly connect the cables between the new radio and the car. Be patient and careful and check the radio user manual.

Step 9, After connecting all the cables, you can turn on the car to test whether the new radio functions normally; if not, check again the cables whether connected correctly. And fix everything back if no problem.
