It’s true that having a touchscreen and multifunctional car stereo system makes our drives more fun and comfortable. That’s why lots of car owners decide to upgrade their simple factory radios nowadays.
As a Subaru WRX owner, I just upgraded my old radio with a Seicane Android car stereo navigation system recently. I would be happy to share the removal and installation guide here. May it be useful for you. By the way, it would be better to have someone help to work together.
Section 1, Preparations
New car radio and radio user manual are required. The basic tools will include plastic pry tools, screwdrivers. As we will work on power plugs, powering off the car before doing anything.
Section 2, How to remove the factory radio?
To remove the factory radio, you can follow 5 steps to do.
Step 1, Removing the panel device: Use the pry tool to feed it down the side until the panel device pried up, then you can take it down.
Step 2, Unplug connectors of the vent and the AC controllers on the panel device.
Step 3, Remove these tabs, vents, AC controls of the panel because we still need to use them on the new aftermarket car stereo from Seicane.
Step 4, Get to remove these six screws that fixed the original radio unit.
Step 5, Take down this small metal sheet, then pull out the radio unit and unplug its connectors. The removal job done.
Section 3, How to Install Seicane car stereo?
Step 6, Have the Seicane car stereo system with Carplay GPS in hand. For smooth work, take a check for the wiring harness and other accessories of the product.
Step 7, Install the tabs, vents, AC controls in the new stereo system.
Step 8, Correspondingly connect the cables between the new radio and the car. Be patient and careful and check the radio user manual.
Step 9, After connecting all the cables, you can turn on the car to test whether the new radio functions normally; if not, check again the cables whether connected correctly. And fix everything back if no problem.
Section 4, Take a look at aftermarket touchscreen car stereo
